The market is now off the day’s low and is trading flat as smart buying is seen in the Metal, Oil & Gas, Power and Capital Goods stocks. However, the IT, Pharma and FMCG stocks are trading lower. The BSE Mid Cap and the BSE Small Cap are also trading lower.

The overall market breadth is negative, as 1173 stocks are advancing whereas 1264 stocks that are declining.

ONGC reported the top gainer from the BSE Sensex pack. It is trading higher by (6.03%) at Rs.900.50 while Ranbaxy Laboratories the top loser down by (9.87%) at Rs.479.

At 2.31PM BSE Sensex is at 13,436.05 down by 33.79 points and Nifty is at 4,076.75 up by 27.75 points.

The BSE Mid Cap is lower by 1.38 points to 5,363.96 and the Small Cap slipped by 30.14 points to 6,683.52.

The BSE Metal index is the top gainer today trading with a gain of 443.41 points at 13,155.12. The main gainers are SAIL up by (6.86%) at Rs.145.65, Sterlite Industries increased by (4.82%) at Rs.693 followed by Tata Steel and Nalco inclined by (4.53%) and (3.48%) to Rs.696.25 and Rs.393.95 respectively.

The most active shares on NSE are Reliance trading at Rs.2063 with a total traded quantity of 2332282 shares followed by Ranbaxy Lab. trading at Rs.478.60 with a total traded quantity of 8391097 shares.
