At 2.31PM BSE Sensex is at 14,199.67 down by 97.12 points

The markets have lost further grounds and are trading sharply lower on the back of continued selling pressure. The Capital Goods, Bank, Oil & Gas and Realty stocks are out of favor today. However, the buying is seen in the Auto and Pharma stocks. The BSE Mid Cap and the BSE Small Cap stocks are trading with a cut of more than 0.8% each and in line with the benchmark index.

The overall market breadth is negative as 866 stocks are advancing while 1652 stocks are declining in BSE.

Bharti Airtel reported the top gainer from the BSE Sensex pack. It is trading higher by (1.47%) at Rs.816 while Hindalco Industries reported the top loser down by (9.78%) at Rs.124.95.

At 2.31PM BSE Sensex is at 14,199.67 down by 97.12 points and Nifty is at 4,277.60 down by 14.50 points.

The BSE Mid Cap is lower by 40.92 points to 5,645.50 and the BSE Small Cap slipped by 49.64 points to 6,810.26.

The BSE Auto index is the one of the top performer today trading with a gain of 16.15 points at 14,153.72. The main gainers are Hero Honda up by (2.60%) at Rs.829.90, Tata Motors increased by (1.02%) at Rs.427.10 followed by Maruti Suzuki and Bajaj Auto inclined by (0.96%) and (0.51%) to Rs.632.40 and Rs.582.50 respectively.

The most active shares on NSE are Reliance Industries trading at Rs.2,105.50 with a total traded quantity of 2222404 shares followed by Reliance Capital trading at Rs.1,274.35 with a total traded quantity of 2125791 shares.
