The markets are now trading lower as selling continued. The market could not able to sustain its gain as profit booking emerged at higher level. The Realty, Bank, Power and Oil & Gas stocks are out of favor today. The Metal is the top performer of the day and had outperformed the benchmark index.

The overall market breadth is negative as 1202 stocks are advancing while 1297 stocks are declining in BSE.
Sterlite Industries reported the top gainer from the BSE Sensex pack. It is trading higher by (1.37%) at Rs.623.35 while DLF reported the top loser down by (3.32%) at Rs.481.50.

At 2.31PM BSE Sensex is at 14,406.53 down by 75.69 points and Nifty is at 4,323.80 down by 13.70 points.

The BSE Mid Cap is lower by 20.96 points to 5,723.81 and the BSE Small Cap slipped by 3.19 points to 6,909.43.

The BSE Metal index is the one of the top performer today trading with a gain of 83.33 points at 12,265.41. The main gainers are SAIL up by (1.70%) at Rs.152.70, Hindalco Industries increased by (1.33%) at Rs.137.50 followed by Sterlite Industries and Tata Steel inclined by (1.37%) and (1.31%) to Rs.623.35 and Rs.585.10 respectively.

The most active shares on NSE are Reliance Industries trading at Rs.2159.70 with a total traded quantity of 2391810 shares followed by Reliance Capital trading at Rs.1299.05 with a total traded quantity of 2036820 shares.
