BSE Sensex is at 12,545.17 down by 131.02 points at 2.31 pm
The market has finally given up their early gains and slipped below to trade in the negative territory. The strong selling pressure emerged in the Realty, Auto, Consumer Durables and Bank stocks. However, the selective buying is seen in the FMCG and Pharma stocks. The BSE Mid Cap and BSE Small Cap are trading with a cut of more than 1% each. The NSE Nifty has touched the new 2008 low and breached below the 3800 mark.
The overall market breadth is negative, as 755 stocks are advancing whereas 1756 stocks that are declining.
Ranbaxy Laboratories reported the top gainer from the BSE Sensex pack. It is trading higher by (11.55%) at Rs.456.50 while DLF the top loser down by (7.34%) at Rs.395.60.
At 2.31PM BSE Sensex is at 12,545.17 down by 131.02 points and Nifty is at 3,801.75 down by 59.35 points.
The BSE Mid Cap is lower by 109.59 points to 5,053.92 and the Small Cap slipped by 116.53 points to 6,314.37.
The BSE Realty index is the top loser today trading with a loss of 275.98 points at 4,227.47. The main losers are Unitech down by (9.87%) at Rs.138.40, DLF decreased by (7.34%) at Rs.395.60 followed by Parsavnath and HDIL declined by (6.52%) and (5.25%) to Rs.101.15 and Rs.387.35 respectively.
The most active shares on NSE are Bharti Airtel trading at Rs.731 with a total traded quantity of 12168477 shares followed by Ranbaxy Lab. trading at Rs.456.45 with a total traded quantity of 14909504 shares.
