BSE Sensex is at 13,303.98 down by 222.01 points at 2.31 pm
The market has recovered a bit from the day’s low as some buying support is seen in the selective scrips. The Capital goods, Power and Metal stocks bounced back from the lows and are trading higher. However, the IT, FMCG, Consumer durables and Oil & Gas stocks are still under pressure. The Bse Sensex is now hovering above the 13300 mark and the NSE Nifty is trading below the 4000 mark.
The overall market breadth is negative, as 924 stocks are advancing whereas 1575 stocks that are declining.
ACC reported the top gainer from the BSE Sensex pack. It is trading higher by (5.34%) at Rs.522.70 while Infosys Technologies the top loser down by (4.40%) at Rs.1722.
At 2.31PM BSE Sensex is at 13,303.98 down by 222.01 points and Nifty is at 3,975.60 down by 54.40 points.
The BSE Mid Cap is lower by 38.63 points to 5,301.18 and the Small Cap slipped by 55.85 points to 6,537.16.
The BSE Capital Goods index is the top gainer today trading with a gain of 132.04 points at 10,840.46. The main gainers are Siemens up by (2.71%) at Rs.468, BHEL increased by (2.50%) at Rs.1503 followed by ABB and L&T inclined by (1.82%) and (0.94%) to Rs.875 and Rs.2387 respectively.
The most active shares on NSE are Reliance trading at Rs.1981.50 with a total traded quantity of 3533256 shares followed by Reliance Capital trading at Rs.1041 with a total traded quantity of 4533839 shares.
Siemens is trading higher by (2.71%) at Rs.468. The company has bagged a Rs 300-crore contract from the Delhi International Airport Limited for terminal baggage system at the Delhi Airport.
