BSE Sensex is at 13,475.79 down by 450.45 points at 2.31 pm

The market has lost further ground and is trading in deep red as strong selling continued across the board mainly led by the IT, Capital Goods, Power and FMCG stocks. The IIP number for the month of May disappoint the market as it declined at 3.8% as against 10.6% in same period of last year. The BSE Mid Cap and BSE Small Cap are also trading with a cut of more than 1% each.

The overall market breadth is negative, as 993 stocks are advancing whereas 1538 stocks that are declining.

Ambuja Cement reported the top gainer from the BSE Sensex pack. It is trading higher by (1.58%) at Rs.80.25 while Jai Prakash Associate the top loser down by (7.63%) at Rs.157.95.

At 2.31PM BSE Sensex is at 13,475.79 down by 450.45 points and Nifty is at 4,049.90 down by 112.30 points.

The BSE Mid Cap is lower by 95.07 points to 5,380.13 and the Small Cap slipped by 76.92 points to 6,732.32.

The BSE IT index is the top loser today trading with a loss of 207.40 points at 3,982. The main losers are TCS down by (6.15%) at Rs.814.95, Satyam Computer decreased by (5.21%) at Rs.453 followed by Infosys Technologies and Wipro declined by (5.15%) and (4.55%) to Rs.1712.30 and Rs.411.80 respectively.

The most active shares on NSE are Infosys Technologies trading at Rs.1712.40 with a total traded quantity of 4252087 shares followed by Reliance trading at Rs.2024.80 with a total traded quantity of 2475597 shares.
