BSE Sensex is at 14,108.82 up by 2.24 points at 2.31 pm

The market is trading flat with the BSE Sensex trading lower while the NSE Nifty still trading higher. The BSE Sensex has maintained its position above the 14000 level. The buying support is seen in the Metal, Oil & Gas and Capital Goods stocks. However, the IT, FMCG and Bank stocks are still reeling under pressure.

The overall market breadth is negative, as 1160 stocks are advancing whereas 1369 stocks that are declining.

BHEL reported the top gainer from the BSE Sensex pack. It is trading higher by (4.03%) at Rs.1447 while HDFC the top loser down by (4.08%) at Rs.2136.

At 2.31PM BSE Sensex is at 14,108.82 up by 2.24 points and Nifty is at 4,223.15 up by 32.05 points.

The BSE Mid Cap is higher by 1.09 points to 5,713.33 and the Small Cap advanced by 3.86 points to 7,010.28.

The BSE Metal index is the top gainer today trading with a gain of 361.01 points at 13,729.83. The main gainers are SAIL up by (3.39%) at Rs.151.15, Tata Steel increased by (3.34%) at Rs.735 followed by Gujarat NRE and Hindalco Industries inclined by (3.43%) and (3.35%) to Rs.131 and Rs.149.60.

The most active shares on NSE are Reliance trading at Rs.2062.70 with a total traded quantity of 2914065 shares followed by Infosys Technologies trading at Rs.1745 with a total traded quantity of 2115962 shares.
