BSE Sensex is at 14,285.70 down by 285.59 points at 2.31 pm

The market is still trading in red on the back of selling pressure continued in the selective scrips. The heavy selling pressure is seen in the Capital Goods, Metal, Power and Realty stocks. The BSE IT index is the top performer today and is trading in green with a gain of nearly 1%.

The BSE Mid Cap and BSE Small Cap continued to trade with a deep cut of more than 3% each.

The overall market breadth is negative, as 386 stocks are advancing whereas 2199 stocks that are declining.

ONGC reported the top gainer from the BSE Sensex pack. It is trading higher by (3.01%) at Rs.892.95 while JP associate the top loser down by (7.20%) at Rs.152.65.

At 2.31PM BSE Sensex is at 14,285.70 down by 285.59 points and Nifty is at 4,267.65 down by 79.90 points.

The BSE Mid Cap is lower by 204.41 points to 5,828.02 and the Small Cap slipped by 250.07 points to 7,147.59.

The BSE IT index is the only index that registered a gain today, as it trading with a gain of 34.91 points at 4,239.53. The main gainers are HCL Technologies up by (2.55%) at Rs.273, Satyam Computer increased by (1.74%) at Rs.462.95 followed by Wipro and Infosys Technologies inclined by (1.33%) and (1.18%) to Rs.480.45 and Rs.1,849.15.

The most active shares on NSE are Reliance trading at Rs.2040.40 with a total traded quantity of 4023349 shares followed by Reliance Capital trading at Rs.964.15 with a total traded quantity of 5797476 shares.
