BSE Sensex is at 14,421.25 down by 29.09 points at 2.31 pm
The markets are now trading lower. Though some recovery is seen from the level but can’t able to sustain its momentum and turned choppy. The selling pressure continued among the Realty, Oil & Gas, Metal and Capital Goods stocks. However, the buying support is seen in the Auto, IT, Banking and FMCG stocks.
The overall market breadth is negative as 973 stocks are advancing while 1514 stocks are declining in BSE.
HDFC Bank reported the top gainer from the BSE Sensex pack. It is trading higher by (2.72%) at Rs.1,241 while Reliance Industries reported the top loser down by (3.14%) at Rs.2,161.
At 2.31PM BSE Sensex is at 14,421.25 down by 29.09 points and Nifty is at 4,320.50 down by 14.85 points.
The BSE Mid Cap is lower by 16.32 points to 5,724.88 and the BSE Small Cap slipped by 24.32 points to 6,897.92.
The BSE IT index is the one of the top performer today trading with a gain of 30.31 points at 3,892.74. The main gainers are Satyam Computer up by (2.57%) at Rs.403.40, HCL Technologies increased by (2.39%) at Rs.228.95 followed by Wipro and TCS inclined by (1.98%) and (1.72%) to Rs.427.95 and Rs.832 respectively.
The most active shares on NSE are Reliance Industries trading at Rs.2162 with a total traded quantity of 2621214 shares followed by Infosys Technologies trading at Rs.1700.05 with a total traded quantity of 1915861 shares.
BHEL is trading higher by (0.78%) at Rs.1702.10. The company had won a contract for two gas turbine generating units worth Rs.1.4 billion from UAE.
