The market has gained further grounds as strong buying interest continued across the board mainly led by the Bank, Power, Realty, Capital Goods and Metal stocks. The BSE Mid Cap and BSE Small Cap are also trading strongly.

The overall market breadth is positive, as 2,236 stocks are advancing whereas 394 stocks that are declining.

Reliance Communication reported the top gainer from the BSE Sensex pack. It is trading higher by (13.29%) at Rs.530.35 while Cipla reported the top loser down by (1.37%) at Rs.234.50.

At 2.31PM BSE Sensex is at 14,911.44 up by 807.24 points and Nifty is at 4,470.70 up by 230.60 points.

The BSE Mid Cap is higher by 267.05 points to 5,613.08 and the Small Cap advanced by 274.49 points to 6,810.91.

The BSE Bank index is the top gainer today trading with a gain of 655.80 points at 7,284.78. The main gainers are Kotak Bank up by (12.57%) at Rs.574.30, ICICI Bank increased by (12.53%) at Rs.744.15 followed by SBI and HDFC Bank inclined by (8.96%) and (8.61%) to Rs.1,523 and Rs.1,195.15 respectively.

The most active shares on NSE are Reliance trading at Rs.2,247 with a total traded quantity of 3757440 shares followed by Reliance Communication trading at Rs.529.25 with a total traded quantity of 15364860 shares.
