BSE Sensex up by 66.15 points at 2.31 pm

The market is facing volatility today and is moving in between the positive and negative territory. The BSE Sensex has maintained its position above the 14200 level while the NSE Nifty is trading with margin gain. The buying support is seen in the Oil & Gas, IT and Metal stocks. However, the Realty, Auto, and Power stocks are the major draggers today.

The overall market breadth is positive, as 1482 stocks are advancing whereas 1069 stocks that are declining.

Reliance reported the top gainer from the BSE Sensex pack. It is trading higher by (4.50%) at Rs.2231.50 while Hindalco Industries the top loser down by (3.97%) at Rs.142.50.

At 2.31PM BSE Sensex is at 14,286.22 up by 66.15 points and Nifty is at 4,253.40 up by 0.75 points.

The BSE Mid Cap is higher by 6.01 points to 5,752.67 and the Small Cap advanced by 61.76 points to 7,119.78.

The BSE Oil & Gas index is the top gainer today trading with a gain of 209.03 points at 9,62.59. The main gainers are Gail India up by (1.48%) at Rs.356, Indian Oil increased by (1.02%) at Rs.361.95 followed by RPL and ONGC inclined by (0.76%) and (0.46%) to Rs.171.70 and Rs.868.

The most active shares on NSE are Reliance trading at Rs.2232 with a total traded quantity of 5755830 shares followed by Reliance Capital trading at Rs.996 with a total traded quantity of 3789677 shares.
