Sensex is at 13,528.41 down by 273.81 points at 2.13 pm
The market has lost further ground as strong selling continued in the selective scrips mainly led by the Realty, Consumer Durables, Bank and Oil & Gas stocks. The IT index is the only performer today as it is seeing some buying momentum. NSE Nifty has gone below the 4100 mark.
The overall market breadth is negative, as 576 stocks are advancing whereas 1974 stocks that are declining.
Jai Prakash Associate reported the top gainer from the BSE Sensex pack. It is trading higher by (2.42%) at Rs.146.10 while Reliance Infra. the top loser down by (9.98%) at Rs.797.
At 2.31PM BSE Sensex is at 13,528.41 down by 273.81 points and Nifty is at 4,043 down by 93.65 points.
The BSE Mid Cap is lower by 2.73 points to 5,406.78 and the Small Cap slipped by 187.65 points to 6,750.42.
The BSE IT index is the top gainer today trading with a gain of 26.86 points at 4,031.61. The main gainers are I-Flex up by (2.63%) at Rs.1417.10, Financial Technologies increased by (1.78%) at Rs.1,676 followed by Infosys Technologies and Tech Mhindra inclined by (1.40%) and (0.62%) to Rs.1731.55 and Rs.715.
The most active shares on NSE are Reliance trading at Rs.2147 with a total traded quantity of 3900235 shares followed by Reliance Petroleum Ltd. trading at Rs.171.50 with a total traded quantity of 20280513 shares.
ONGC is trading higher by (0.12%) at Rs.833.50. The company have near-finalised the plan for joint development of Ambe and North Tapti offshore marginal gas fields in the Gujarat coast.
