The markets are still trading lower as selling pressure continued in the Realty, IT, Banking and Capital Goods stocks. The Metal index today outperformed the benchmark index as it is trading with a gain of more than 1.2%.

Sterlite Industries reported the top gainer from the BSE Sensex pack. It is trading higher by (3.30%) at Rs.634.25 while Jai Prakash Associate reported the top loser down by (3.07%) at Rs.181.65.

At 2.31PM BSE Sensex is at 15,031.85 down by 85.40 points and Nifty is at 4,498.85 down by 25 points.

The BSE Mid Cap is lower by 12.15 points to 5,869.45 while the Small Cap dropped by 10.30 points to 7,177.29.

The BSE Metal index is the one of the top gainer today trading with a gain of 165.65 points at 13,051.62. The main gainers are Sterlite Industries up by (3.30%) at Rs.634.25, Jindal Saw increased by (1.59%) at Rs.550 followed by Tata Steel and Nalco inclined by (0.88%) and (0.66%) to Rs.648.45 and Rs.403.65 respectively.

The most active shares on NSE are Reliance Industries trading at Rs.2,241.90 with a total traded quantity of 2269433 shares followed by Reliance Capital trading at Rs.1,391.20 with a total traded quantity of 2673213 shares.
