Sensex is at 15,401.72 up by 212.10 points at 2.31 pm

The market is trading in green as strong buying continued across the board. The most preferred index today is the realty index and it is trading with a gain of more than 3%. The strong buying is also seen in the other sectorial indices like Bank, IT, Metal and Power stocks. The BSE Mid Cap and BSE Small Cap index both are trading with a gain of 1.5% each.

The overall market breadth is positive, as 1854 stocks are advancing whereas 704 stocks that are declining.

ICICI Bank reported the top gainer from the BSE Sensex pack. It is trading higher by (4.12%) at Rs.796.30 while BHEL the top loser down by (2.25%) at Rs.1511.15.

At 2.31PM BSE Sensex is at 15,401.72 up by 212.10 points and Nifty is at 4,570.35 up by 53.25 points.

The BSE Mid Cap is higher by 94.44 points to 6,322.61 and the Small Cap advanced by 114.87 points to 7,696.59.

The BSE Realty index is the top performer today, trading with a gain of 177.25 points at 5,847.48. The main gainers are HDIL up by (5.76%) at Rs.601.80, Unitech increased by (4.46%) at Rs.195.60 followed by Indiabull Real and DLF inclined by (4.44%) and (3.41%) to Rs.389.70 and Rs.496.10.

The most active shares on NSE are Reliance trading at Rs.2289.10 with a total traded quantity of 2135052 shares followed by Chambal Fertilisers trading at Rs.93.80 with a total traded quantity of 35812840 shares.

Unitech is trading higher by (4.46%) at Rs.195.60. Lehman Brothers Real Estate Partners has agreed to invest USD 175 million to acquire a 50 per cent stake in the initial phase of a project on the Western Expressway of Mumbai.
