Sensex live at 2.31 pm up by 188 points
The market is still trading strong due to the continued buying across the board. The Bank, Capital Goods, Oil & Gas and IT stocks are attracting significant buying support. The BSE Mid Cap and BSE small Cap indices are also witnessing good buying momentum.
The overall market breadth remains positive, as 1770 stocks are advancing whereas 800 stocks that are declining.
BHEL reported the top gainer from the BSE Sensex pack. It is trading higher by (5.60%) at Rs.1459.50 while Tata Motors the top loser down by (2.13%) at Rs.500.30.
At 2.31PM BSE Sensex is at 15,077.76 up by 188.51 points and Nifty is at 4,491.65 up by 41.85 points.
The BSE Mid Cap is higher by 47.59 points to 6,151.43 and the Small Cap advanced by 98.40 points to 7,439.57.
The BSE Bank index is the top gainer, trading with a gain of 145.62 points at 7,007.95. The main gainers are HDFC Bank up by (4.03%) at Rs.1178, SBI increased by (2.43%) at Rs.1310.10 followed by ICICI Bank and PNB inclined by (1.80%) and (0.23%) to Rs.744.10 and Rs.448.65.
The most active shares on NSE are Ranbaxy Laboratories trading at Rs.564.75 with a total traded quantity of 24715684 shares followed by Reliance Industries trading at Rs.2246.90 with a total traded quantity of 3220549 shares.
