Sensex live at 2.31 PM up by 87 points
The market is now off the day's high and is still trading in green. The Capital Goods, Realty and Oil & Gas stocks are in huge demand today. However, the IT and HealthCare stocks are still reeling under pressure. The BSE Mid Cap and Small Cap have out performed he benchmark index in the afternoon trade.
The overall market breadth is positive, as 1914 stocks are advancing whereas 713 stocks that are declining.
DLF reported the top gainer from the BSE Sensex pack. It is trading higher by (8.31%) at Rs.736.90 while Satyam Computer trading down by (4.07%) at Rs.391.40.
At 2.31PM BSE Sensex is at 16,011.33 up by 87.61 points and Nifty is at 4,828.95 up by 28.55 points.
The BSE Mid Cap is higher by 141.23 points to 6,909.15 and the Small Cap advanced by 227.26 points to 8,475.99.
The BSE Capital Goods index is the top performer today. It is trading with a gain of 551.59 points at 13,892.68. The main gainers are L&T up by (6.67%) at Rs.2,910, Siemens increased by (4.41%) at Rs.686 followed by BHEL advanced by (0.99%) to Rs.1,933.
The most active shares on NSE are Reliance trading at Rs.2,299 with a total traded quantity of 2250562 shares followed by Reliance Natural Resources Ltd. trading at Rs.113.45 with a total traded quantity of 40898290 shares.
