Sensex live down by 240 points at 2.31 pm
The markets are trading weak and are not showing any signs of recovery. The Bank, Capital Goods, Power and Metal stocks are the most hitted stocks today. Whereas the IT stocks have maintained their gains. The BSE Mid Cap and Small Cap stocks are trading with a deep cut. The BSE Sensex has gone below the 16,400 mark.
The overall market breadth is negative, as 589 stocks are advancing whereas 2013 stocks that are declining.
Infosys Technologies reported the top gainer from the BSE Sensex pack. It is trading higher by (2.26%) at Rs.1870.15 while Ambuja Cement the top loser down by (5.29%) at Rs.96.75.
At 2.31PM BSE Sensex is at 16,409.43 down by 240.21 points and Nifty is at 4,890.75 down by 56 points.
The BSE Mid Cap is lower by 171.94 points to 6,765.17 and the Small Cap dropped by 189.88 points to 8,327.55.
The BSE IT is the top gainer trading with a gain of 57 points at 4,397.98. The main gainers are Infosys Technologies up by (2.26%) at Rs.1870.15, TCS increased by (1.73%) at Rs.948.55 followed by HCL Technologies and Wipro inclined by (1.32%) and (0.06%) to Rs.296.15 and Rs.481.40.
The most active shares on NSE are Reliance trading at Rs.2534.20 with a total traded quantity of 1289064 shares followed by Infosys Technologies trading at Rs.1882 with a total traded quantity of 1577116 shares.
